News: PlayStation players donate over £1 million to earthquake appeal...

Following a call for support over the PSN by Sony, users stumped up more than £1 million. The donations included £538,122 from Europe and £260,955 from the US. The donations by PSN users follow Sony's initial donation of £2.34 million, a donation that was subsequently matched by Nintendo.

This news follows reports that £6380 was raised for the UK-based GamesAid charity at the Develop Awards in Brighton. 

With such well-natured and philanthropic actions, if gamers aren't careful they might actually start receiving some positive press in the UK media - who knows, stranger things have happened!
